Pick n Pay launches Smart Shopper Pro: Unlimited free deliveries and extra points for groceries and petrol

Pick n Pay has launched Smart Shopper Pro for R99 per month, a new subscription tier of its Smart Shopper loyalty programme.

Pick n Pay Smart Shopper Pro offers subscribers unlimited free asap! deliveries on grocery and clothing orders over R350.

They will get triple Smart Shopper points on fresh groceries, including fresh fruit and vegetables, bakery, butchery and dairy.

Subscribers will also get an extra 10% off in-store shopping of up to R200 a month, and double Smart Shopper points on BP fuel purchases.

Vince Viviers, executive for innovation and digital transformation at Pick n Pay, said that consumers are looking for ways to make their money go further.

“Smart Shopper Pro gives them more opportunities to get value from their everyday spend across groceries, clothing and fuel,” he said.

He explained that for customers who order groceries online weekly, four deliveries a month would amount to R148 in delivery fees.

“This is more than the R99 monthly subscription cost, before factoring in the additional in-store discount and extra points earned,” he said.

The subscription also stacks with Smart Shopper’s free-to-join Live Well Club, which offers triple points and additional cash-off vouchers.

“Where Pro and the Live Well Club overlap on qualifying items, members can earn six times the standard Smart Shopper points,” he said.

“Fresh food makes up a big part of every family’s shop, so that’s where we wanted to give the most back.”
