South African MP who said they will kill white people, their children, and their pets faces complaints after celebrating brutal farm attack
uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party) Member of Parliament Andile Mngxitama faces complaints over his comments about the attack on farmer Donovan Marx.
The attack on Marx made global headlines due to brutality and torture, which included his ears being cut off and being shot in the back.
In response to the attack, Mngxitama posted a comment on his X account which essentially welcomed the attack.
“Ventersdorp white farmer Donovan Marx had his ears cut off during a Plaas moord aanval,” he said.
“Attacking the ears is symbolic to denote the refusal of land thieves to listen. No land, no peace.”
Mngxitama added that farm life is overdetermined by systematic violence. “Blacks got killed and fed to pigs,” he said.
Freedom Front Plus chief whip Heloise Denner said that Mngxitama’s comments were unacceptable and will not go unpunished.
She said that they will officially lodge a complaint with the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and Parliament’s Ethics Committee.
Lex Libertas has also lodged a formal ethics complaint with Parliament’s Office of the Registrar of Members’ Interests against Mngxitama.
The think tank and advocacy group is calling for an investigation, formal findings, and disciplinary action against him.
“An apology alone would not be sufficient. The Committee must provide reasons if it declines to recommend substantial sanctions,” said Lex Libertas founder Ernst Roets.
AfriForum is also looking to institute action against Mngxitama, saying that a parliamentarian should not make such statements.
The organisation has instructed its legal team to determine the most appropriate legal steps and act accordingly.
“We are preparing to deploy all necessary resources to ensure that he is held accountable,” AfriForum said.
Mngxitama did not back down following the backlash. “Let them take me to court. We shall have a great time there,” he said.
He added, “House negroes and their land-thieving masters are crying there by Twitter. Tagging Elon Musk and Trump.”
He then added the comments he had made about Donovan Marx, signalling that he would not back down or apologise for them.

Andile Mngxitama has a history of attacking white people
The latest incident followed years of complaints against Andile Mngxitama for controversial comments regarding white South Africans.
In 2018, when he served as the leader of Black First Land First (BLF), he was accused of inciting violence against white people and encouraging farm attacks.
During a BLF rally in Potchefstroom on 9 December 2018, he launched a scathing attack on white people.
“We’ll kill their children. We’ll kill their women. We’ll kill their dogs. We’ll kill their cats. We’ll kill anything that comes before us,” he said during his address.
In social media comments after the event, he launched into a tirade against businessman Johann Rupert.
“If he hires his taxi bosses to kill one black, we shall kill five whites. We will go to the white suburbs and avenge each black life,” he said.
Ernst Roets, who served as AfriForum’s head of policy and action at the time, said that it was a clear-cut example of hate speech.
The Democratic Alliance reported Mngxitama to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) and the Equality Court.
However, these complaints did not stop him. A year later, in a social media video, he said, “If you kill one black person, we will kill five white people”.
In May 2019, the Equality Court found Mngxitama guilty of hate speech and ordered public retractions and apologies.
He dismissed the Equality Court rulings, claiming the judiciary was biased and asserting that the statements were political rhetoric made in self-defence.
Mngxitama also previously targeted Jewish people. In September 2017, Mngxitama posted numerous comments on social media against this group.
“For those claiming that the legacy of the holocaust is ONLY negative, think about the lampshades and Jewish soap,” he said.
“The aroma of the burning flesh from the furnace of the holocaust may whet the appetite of the SA cannibals”.
At the time, the national director of the SA Jewish Board of Deputies (SAJBD), Wendy Kahn, said the board was seeking orders against Mngxitama.
They wanted the court to find him in violation of the Equality Act for hate speech and harassment, and to find him guilty of unfair discrimination.
Mngxitama responded to these moves by Kahn by stating that the SAJBD was displaying white supremacist tendencies.
I don’t think Andile is racist… that’s like commenting on the pale colour of a 3-day old corpse. He is utterly and completely morally bankrupt. If he could get away with it, he will sell his mother and sister into prostitution and slavery for a Streetwise 2. He simply saw an opportunity to be in the news, and he took it.
