The ANC will be gone in 10 years

Political analyst Prince Mashele said that the African National Congress (ANC) is the biggest national liability facing our country and does not deserve any votes.

He shared his views on South Africa’s political landscape during the 2026 Biznews Conference at the Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg.

“My advice is for people not to vote for the ANC. It is the biggest national liability facing our country. They have broken the backbone of our infrastructure,” he said.

“These people are thieves. They’re about looting. They’re not about building the country. So, I make no bones about it. Don’t vote for the African National Congress.”

Mashele predicted that the ANC’s support will continue to decline across South Africa and that it will fade into irrelevance.

“I have not seen any poll suggesting that after the election, the ANC would have gained anything. So, it will decline. It is a foregone conclusion,” he said.

“That decline is not momentary. The ANC is in the process of decline. So, to those of you who follow the ANC: goodbye.”

“There will be no ANC in the South African government after the 2034 election. The ANC will not impact our national government.”

He added that President Cyril Ramaphosa has become a liability and that he will be even weaker after the elections.

He said that following poor election results, the ANC’s main focus will be on finding a way to remove Ramaphosa from government.

Mashale predicted that the fictional knives would be sharp after the election, as rivals use bad results to move against the current leadership.

Ramaphosa is the head of one faction and will be the fall guy for the poor results in the Local Government Election in November 2026.

Others also say the ANC is only about looting

At the same event, DA leader Geordin Hill-Lewis said that the ANC’s entire business model, with its tentacles in every aspect of the state, is one of looting.

Hill-Lewis referenced the Madlanga Commission, which he said is doing a wonderful service to South Africa.

“All of us have a good sense that it is a deeply corrupted state. Every time we see new examples of just how severe it is, it remains shocking,” he said.

ActionSA founder and leader Herman Mashaba said the ANC is not in government to save South Africans, but rather to steal public money.

He said that the African National Congress has lost the plot and is in serious trouble. However, they have not accepted that reality.

“The ANC is in ICU. As far as I’m concerned, it will be a miracle if the party ever gets out of this ICU.”

“You must understand, ANC is not in government to save you. ANC is in government to go and steal public money.”

Mashaba said that when the ANC started going astray, they reached out to them because he grew up with many of the leaders.

“But I can tell you, the more you engage the ANC to do the right thing, even up to today, the worse they get,” he said.

Mashaba said that he finds it difficult to understand. “When you talk to them, they will look at you and say, ‘No, we’ll go and talk to our comrades,’ and disappear.”

“I honestly don’t know, even up to today, why when you try and engage the ANC to do the right thing, they want to do the exact opposite.”

Prince Mashele should start a political party his views and observations are what the country needs at this time. .
Free of party political bagage and history . If he, should do so people like Rob Hershov , economical and business leaders can be advisors and or stand for positions in such a party .
They can only do so much beter than the present group that is failing at everything exept for one thing where year by year they have improvement …. and that is corruption.
