Black people hated all over the world – Julius Malema

EFF leader Julius Malema said that black people are hated all over the world, and that there is no distinction between South Africa and the rest of the continent.

He shared this information during a speech at the memorial service for late EFF member Primrose Bogatsu in Rustenburg.

“We are hated as black people all over the world. Whether in America or anywhere else. You can go anywhere in the world, and we are hated,” he said.

“You can go to China. You can go to America. You can go to London. They don’t distinguish South Africa from the rest. To them, it’s just Africa.”

“That’s why they treat us all the same. No South African gets treated any better than a Ghanaian in China.”

“You are all black, so you are going to be treated the same. You’re all black, and you are all hated.”

Malema spoke out against xenophobia, as was seen in recent months in South Africa, and called for borderless Pan-African unity.

He argued that dividing Africans based on nationality aligns with anti-black systemic racism seen globally.

“Amongst yourselves, while there is an external enemy dividing you, you still come inside your own family and say, ‘This one isn’t part of us. We don’t know them,” he said.

“You divide Africans instead of uniting around a common problem to face the real enemy,” he added.

“You can’t insist that your own household must stand united and solid as a rock, only to step outside that yard and divide the broader continent and country.”

“If you value the unity of your immediate family, you must value the unity of the broader family called Africa.”

Malema said that black South Africans should not allow that kind of division. “You can hate me for saying it, but it’s the truth,” he said.
