In a local Magistrates’ Court in Limpopo, 19 taxi operators will appear in connection with ongoing taxi violence on the Malamulele-Giyani route.
The suspects stand accused of intimidation, robbery and assault. The South African Police Service (SAPS) said they recorded four incidents in October 2025 and another four in December.
In the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court, the bail application for prominent Limpopo musician known as “Shebe Maburna” will conclude.
Maburna is facing three counts of attempted murder, as well as robbery, and the illegal possession of firearms.
The Rand is trading at R16.97 to the Dollar today, from R16.99 at the close of business on Wednesday.
