AM.CO.ZA Grid Game – Complete the challenges and win a DTF Printer worth R32,642
AM.CO.ZA is running a Grid Game challenge where teams of South Africans complete a series of challenges and, if successful, walk away with a DTF Printer worth R32,642.
The Grid Game challenge combines technical training with interactive learning for teams of up to five.
Over a ten-day period, teams will go through several assessments, and if they pass all tests, they’ll receive a brand-new DTF Printer worth R32,642.
This prize includes software and components, too, ensuring the winners can make immediate use of their new printer.
We outline how the Grid Game works below.
Equipment and times

After paying the R10,000 entry fee, teams must bring several items to participate in the challenge.
This includes a Windows laptop with a network port or adaptor, at least two sturdy boxes or containers, and a blank garment for the final DTF print task.
Additionally, teams are recommended to bring a multimeter, labels, markers, a notebook, extra trays, and a toolbox with any tools the think they may need.
Once the Grid Game begins, teams will need to be on-site at AM.CO.ZA Sunnyrock HQ in Germiston each day, with the challenges running from 7:30am to 16:00pm from Mondays to Fridays and to 12:30pm on Saturdays.
Game levels
The Grid Game is divided into levels, with teams required to meet certain criteria to advance to the next level.
Level Zero takes place on Day One and includes a facility tour, during which teams are shown the guidelines for the DTF Printer they’ll be working on.
Level One runs over Days Two and Three and is where the teams’ real tests begin, with them receiving an A3 DTF Printer, which they must dismantle into its smallest parts.
Teams will be eliminated if they fail to disassemble the machine before the end of Day Three.
Level Two runs over Days Four to Six and requires teams to reassemble their machines, with eliminations taking place should the printer be inoperable by the end of Day Six.
Level Three covers the remaining four days of the challenge and requires the team to configure the machine and produce DTF prints of showroom quality.
Teams that achieve this will be allowed to keep the machine they’ve been working on.
