Donald Trump threatens to sue Trevor Noah
United States President Donald Trump said South African comedian Trevor Noah is a total loser and threatened to sue him for a large amount.
This followed comments made by Noah during the 2026 Grammy Awards, where he served as the master of ceremonies.
“Song of the Year. That is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” he said.
Noah then added that it makes sense “because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”
Trump responded on his Truth Social network, saying the Grammy Awards are the worst and virtually unwatchable.
“The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards,” Trump said.
He highlighted that Noah incorrectly said that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island.
“I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close,” Trump said in his post.
“Until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”
He added that Noah, which he called a total loser, better get his facts straight and get them straight fast.
“It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty of dollars,” he said.
“Get ready, Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”

He was born in Soweto on 20 February 1984. He started his career as an actor in the soap opera Isidingo in 2002 and as a radio host on YFM.
He then moved into stand-up comedy and hosting various South African TV shows like Strictly Come Dancing and Tonight with Trevor Noah.
Noah moved to the United States in 2011 and appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in January 2012.
Following his debut, he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman in May 2013, marking the first time a South African comedian had appeared on the show.
In December 2014, he began appearing as a recurring contributor on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, before succeeding Stewart as host in September 2015.
Noah hosted the satirical news program for seven years, winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Series in 2023 for his final season.
On 1 February 2026, Noah hosted the 68th Annual Grammy Awards for the sixth consecutive year.
Last month, he released a full stand-up special on YouTube titled The Lost South African Show.
Filmed in 2023, it was his first South African special in eight years and addressed local topics like load shedding and South African politics.
He is currently on a comedy tour with 2026 dates across the United States, including sold-out shows in Medford, Baltimore, and Nashville.
I hope DJT does sue him. The little clown runs his mouth far too much and far too often. Even when he tries to be apolitical – which is seldom – he’s not even funny.
