The ANC has hijacked South Africa’s international relations

Freedom Front Plus leader Corne Mulder said that the ANC has hijacked South Africa’s international relations, which is costing the country dearly.

Mulder shared this view during a discussion with Biznews about the United States’ action against South Africa’s racial discrimination programmes.

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the South African people are being failed by a government that is destroying its economy.

This, he said, is partly due to an obsessive pursuit of racial grievance against the Afrikaner minority.

“The South African government has consistently failed to adequately address rural crime, violent, and dehumanising rhetoric,” he said.

“There are also race-based discriminatory policies against Afrikaners and other minority populations.”

In response, Rubio announced a new visa restriction policy targeting foreign nationals who enact or enable policies that promote race-based discrimination.

The new policy is also targeting those who incite violence or enable land confiscation without compensation in South Africa.

Mulder said that he supports these actions and that it aligns with what he asked of the White House during a recent trip to Washington, D.C.

He urged the U.S. government not to punish ordinary South Africans but rather to impose targeted sanctions on individual politicians.

“We went there to defend South Africa. During most of our discussions, we stated that if you want to punish South Africa, do not punish its people,” he said.

He explained that ordinary South Africans are the victims of the failed socialist policies which the ANC is implementing.

Mulder said that the latest action by the United States is what they have asked for, as it targets the individuals behind the policies instead of the country.

Mulder said that the ANC has hijacked South Africa’s international relations, which the DA should never have allowed.

He added that this enabled the ANC to forge relations with rogue nations, like Iran, Russia, and Hamas in Palestine.

The Freedom Front Plus has called on the government to implement the United States demands, which include:

  • Farm attacks must be classified as a priority crime, and more resources need to be allocated to combating them.
  • The chant “Kill the Boer” should be openly and unequivocally condemned.
  • No land expropriation without fair market-related compensation.
  • US enterprises should be exempted from BEE requirements, which are regarded as a barrier to trade.
  • A clear demonstration of South Africa’s claimed non-alignment in foreign policy.

However, Mulder said that President Cyril Ramaphosa is a weak leader and that his administration is ignoring the conditions.

The latest action from the United States is a consequence of South Africa’s inaction, which is set to worsen as the time for talking is over.

The United States Ambassador to South Africa, L. Brent Bozell III, said that the time for endless dialogue with South Africa has run its course.

He added that the visa restriction policy is only the first step in a series of escalatory measures that will show America’s firm resolve in this matter.

Mulder argued that the ANC is unable to make any decisions due to weak leadership and other problems.

As such, the only way to improve the relationship with the United States is to get rid of the ANC.

“We will not turn this country around as long as the ANC, with their failed economic policies, are in charge,” he said.

The international governments must go after their overseas bank accounts just like they did with the Russians, and close them and return the money to SA, the country they looted, defrauded and stole from. Because when the end comes, and it will, they will run to those same western countries to live out the rest of their lives in luxury, as poor victims, as almost every deposed African leaders did and do. No sense of shame, no acceptance of responsibility, no accountability and most definitely no consequences.
