Popular shopping mall in South Africa’s richest city getting sold
Randridge Mall in Johannesburg, which features 80 top-quality stores, including Pick n Pay, Woolworths, and Dischem, will change owners.
Randridge Mall is a single-level, family-oriented suburban shopping centre in Randpark Ridge, Johannesburg.
It has served the surrounding community for 25 years, focusing on a convenient shopping experience tailored to everyday essentials, home goods, and health services.
The centre recently increased its tenant capacity by more than 20, offering shoppers a wider range of stores.
Its newly erected parking deck offers customers direct access to the shopping area through stairs and elevators.
Randridge Mall features wide corridors and an open, uncluttered layout, making it easily accessible to families, seniors, and quick errand-runners.
The current owners, Emira Real Estate Investment Trust, said that Randridge Mall offers a spacious environment with over eighty quality stores.
Apart from national retailers Pick n Pay, Woolworths, and Dis-Chem, it has popular apparel and home goods outlets such as Mr Price, Ackermans, PEP, and Truworths.
The shopping centre also features Queenspark, @home, and Dial-a-Bed, along with stationery shops, pet supplies, jewellery, book stores, optometrists, and dry cleaners.
The Randridge Mall has three banks, FNB, Capitec, ABSA, along with numerous restaurants, including Wimpy, FOOOD Café & Restaurant, and Burger Perfect.
It has a dedicated health and wellness area with a medical centre, a hearing clinic, optical services, and wellness providers such as Sorbet and The IV Bar.
Randridge Mall is getting sold

On Thursday, 27 August 2026, the Competition Commission announced that it had approved the sale of Randridge Mall.
It said that Goat Wholesale will buy the letting enterprise, Randridge Mall, from the Emira Property Fund.
Emira is a diversified real estate investment trust (REIT) with a property portfolio predominantly comprising South African assets.
The company was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) in November 2003 in the real estate investment trusts sector.
In line with its strategic objectives, Emira’s property portfolio spans multiple sectors, including office, retail, and industrial, with a new residential element.
Emira is selling the Randridge Mall to Goat, which is active in the property sector in South Africa.
“Relevant to this merger assessment is that the acquiring group owns one community centre within 15 kilometres of Randridge Mall,” the Competition Commission said.
Despite the proximity of the two shopping centres, the commission said that it is unlikely to substantially lessen or prevent competition in any market.
